During May, the new fundings spread across 34 states. However, only 19 states had 5 or more companies with new fundings: Arizona (1.4%), California (38.2%), Colorado (3.4%), Connecticut (1.4%), Florida (2.4%), Georgia (4.1%), Illinois (2.2%), Massachusetts (8.7%), Maryland (1.7%), North Carolina (1.7%), New Jersey (2.2%), New York (6.5%), Ohio (1.7%), Oregon (1.9%), Pennsylvania (2.4%), Texas (4.1%), Virginia (2.6%) and Washington (4.1%).
